PIE NO MI (Japanese chocolate snack)

Today, I would like to introduce PIE-NO-MI. The name of this product means "pie fruit". Isn't the name fairy-tale-like and exciting?

I previously introduced a soft cake-like snack named "CHOCO PIE". This time, however, "PIE NO MI" is different from that, as it is a pie-like snack.

CHOCO PIE

The Japanese snack "CHOCO PIE" introduced here is a soft cake pie like whoopie pie, not a crusty one like apple pie.

Packaging

The packaging has a fairy-tale, retro design that fits the name Pie-no-mi perfectly. This design has not changed over the years. The green color is reminiscent of a forest and a squirrel. A shiny pie fruit depicted there. It's exciting, isn't it?

This is a economy pack, but the regular product consists of a palm-sized box. Opening it was exciting, like opening a picture book, and I loved it as a child.

Looks

In the economy pack, each two grains are individually packaged.

It is characterized by its hexagonal shape.

Each piece is about 3 centimeters long. Pie-no-mi are just right because the pie crust tends to fall apart, so bite-size pieces are easy to eat.

This glossy surface is very appetizing✨ The reverse side is smooth and has a different texture from the surface.

Flavor

Look at this delicious looking cross-section!😍 Pie-no-mi  are small pastries, yet layered in cross section like a real pie.

The surface is crispy and has a sweet coating. The layers of pie crust from the bottom of the pie have a light flavor.

The chocolate stuffed inside is smooth, not too sweet, and delicious.
Pie-no-mi are a bit small, but that's why I can't stop popping it into my mouth.
